everybody I ever desired
or tasted
was swimming
in my brainstorm
dew beads came down
overhead
like molasses
coating their moulds
I made up;
inaccurately
and exaggerated
their thighs
breasts
hips
necklines
mouths
heaved
engulfing me
we swam together
in my brainstorm
that never left my body
until we became flushed
blushing
copulating corpses
with blonde, red, auburn
fair skins
with peridot
and aquamarine
gazes
swirling
underwater
THE GRAND CANYON
FLOODED
AND THE REST OF THE WORLD
WENT THROUGH A DROUGHT
And our smiles
were made of everything
that could make a smile
and it felt
better
the more
we did.
